Travel the world with your Android
Travelling can be one of those stressful things that you have to do often, especially if you travel the world for business. Android makes it that much easier.
There are a wide variety of apps on the Android market, designed to make your life far easier when it comes to travelling the world. From translation tools to ways to manage your expenses and flights, you worries can be eased as long as you have your Android smart phone on you.
Apps that track your flights are some of the greatest tools on the Android market at the moment. TripIt is an app for Android that allows you to forward all of your flight details and itinerary information on to the cloud website so that it organizes your whole trip for you. With reminders as well as a way for family members or colleagues to track your trip, you can also edit as you go along to fit in meetings or plan extras bits to your itinerary. The app also includes useful features like providing you with the weather details for your destination.
Another app designed for flights is the FlightAware Flight Tracker. This app allows you track all of your flights along with details and times so that you always have the right information on hand (and never miss a flight). You can also track flights in real-time on a map as it travels its route – a fun and useful feature, allowing you track progression.
A stressful element when it comes to travelling, especially when you’re on a business trip, is managing your expenses. Which is why I love Expensify for your Android smart phone. This app allows you to track all of your expenses where you simply take a photograph of a slip or enter the information in manually. It will link up to your credit card details and create a spreadsheet of all
of your expenses, making it easy and convenient to forward on at the office. It keeps all of the information securely stored on one platform so you no longer have to carry around bits of papers or till slips.
Another way to manage your expenses is to ensure you always have a currency converter on your Android smart phone. This enables you to switch quickly and easily between currencies so that you never end up paying the wrong amount. The Currency Converter app also comes with additional, interesting features including news updates regarding particular currencies and a graph for you to view the relationship between your currency and the one that you are converting it to. This is a nifty tool while travelling.
You may also need a tool to convert languages, which is why Google Translate is also a good feature to have on your Android smart phone. Available for free download off of the Android market, it enables you to translate between over 60 languages. It also provides a usefully voice to text option so that you can speak the phrases that you would like translated, rather than typing them out.
There are tons of apps available on the Android market, designed to make your life much easier and more convenient. You’ll never have issues with expenses, currencies, flights, itineraries or languages again.
