There is nothing quite like impressing your guests with something that will be the talk of the party. And if you’re a fan of cocktails, like I am you should check out The Cocktail App for the iPhone and iPad. It’s based on the famous cocktails poster by Konstantin Datz.
What’s great about The Cocktail App is you can view details on how to make many of the most popular cocktails with style, giving you and your friends all you need to get the party started
On first opening the app you see the Art Deco style synonymous with Datz. The layout is clean and simple, and so cool you feel the sophistication of the cocktails you can create just waiting to astound everyone. Let’s face it, there is no shortage of cocktail apps, but the design alone brings this one to the forefront
There are three main features of the app. The first and most useful is the cocktail list. This displays all the cocktails available in a scrolling list, which allows you to click on your desired choice and it opens to the instructions to make it. The details page has two tabs, details and preparation. Details tab tells you what ingredients are required, and arms you with some useful trivia, while the preparation tab shows how to make the cocktail.
You can now have a Virtual Barman in your pocket.
If you don’t know what cocktail to try, you can always view a list by ingredients which are helpful when the stocks are low or you want to try something new. Simply click on a few ingredients and the app shows you the number of cocktails available at the top of your screen.
The final feature of the app is a favourites page, mark a cocktail down as a favourite and it’ll appear in your favourites list. Quick access to your favourite sundowners and party starters
