Here’s a game set in a supermarket, and you play as a female character named Nikki, so it must be aimed at the GIRLS! Anyway, it’s about shopping and there’s no shooting, but it’s loads of fun.
You play a young lady called Nikki who is employed as a general dogsbody in the supermarket. Nikki has to keep the shelves stocked, and clean up the shop. Nikki has a trolley with enough goods to fill five shelves. So she has to rush around filling shelves for 8 to 12 items, such as cheese, fish, apples, milk, etc. The customers come into the shops wanting to buy certain items. If the shelf is empty they wait around for a while and then get angry and leave the shop, so you’ve lost a customer. Each customer has a different waiting threshold, the old ladies will wait the longest, then the girls, and the impatient yuppies wait the shortest time before getting irate. Different kinds of customers like different products, e.g. the old ladies like salami and lettuce, and the yuppies like chicken and cheese. In between stocking shelves, Nikki has to pick up the rubbish that some customers drop. If a customer falls over the rubbish they get irate and leave the shop. If the customer successfully finds all the items they want, they go to the checkout, and the shop makes money. Later on in the game you get more difficult customers such as thieves and teenagers that you need to watch out for.
The aim of the game is to keep all the customers happy by running around like a maniac, keeping the shelves stocked, the shop clean, and watching out for the thieves. You get money based on the number of customers that check out happily.
In between the scenes there are some attractive cartoon pages, which are fun, but don’t have anything to do with the actual game play.
This game is ideal for a Tablet device, it works really well on a large touch screen. It is quite large to download at 14M, and then there is an additional download before you can play.
The sound is excellent, just a fun sound track. The graphics are well done in a cartoon kind of way.
Then the surprise, this isn’t really a free game, but you can unlock the rest of the game at a price of about R35. But, I don’t think this is such a bad deal. It’s quite entertaining and addictive. I played the last free level several times to see if the next time I would be able to lose fewer customers. This game will definitely be remaining on my tablet.
