Are you sports fan who wants to keep up to date on your team’s scores? ScoreMobile lets you choose your favourite teams so that you’ll always be in the know even if you can’t watch the game!
This application is for anybody looking to keep up to date with their favourite sports and teams all over the world. The ScoreMobile menu is simple to navigate and has multiple options once your settings have been set to what you would prefer. The main menu options are ‘Scores’ which, when selected, refreshes the applications data and the ‘MLB’ which is the default sport on the main menu, but this can be changed to a different sport from the main menu.
When you mark a team as you ‘favourite’, you are sent notifications about their progress. A great feature is that you are able to view multiple different sports and different leagues of your choice. You can set the alerts to notify you of the results of a single fixture or to follow every fixture for a specified team. You can choose from a number of different sports and teams. You’ll need to choose which ones you want to follow otherwise you’ll be receiving notifications for them all!
A nice feature is that you can choose to set the ‘Auto Refresh’ by ‘Foreground’ and ‘Background’. With ‘Foreground’ you set the period of time before the application refreshes when visible and with ‘Background’ the period of time before the application refreshes when the application is not visible. If you need to you can also set your region and language.
The application is very simple to use and very easy to follow. Once you have set preferences, ScoreMobile shows only what you would like to see. The options are easy to follow and self-explanatory. However, when I tested this application I found that not all the notifications come through properly and some of the sports are not labelled properly.
I use this application every week when specific fixtures are being played so I can check the scores. It is a wonderful application and very simple to use. I would definitely pay for the service the application gives me, but the price would depend on whether the developers are able to fix the problem where some of the notifications do not come through.
The application stands out from its competitors because of it user-friendliness and the notifications it is able to send depending on what the user has specified. It is updated every few minutes but does not consume a lot of battery. I recommend this application to any football fanatic. It is very nice to play with and to use all around. There is a “Help” option that can be visited if there is any trouble.
