How to cook everything

Now a day’s having a good knowledge of food and cooking is easy. Cooking channels and shows are all over the place, and leading chef’s have books out to make teach us how to create gourmet meals. This first-of-its-kind app of the bestselling cookbook—How to Cook Everything® from New York Times columnist Mark Bittman—has 2,000 recipes, 400 how-to illustrations, and a host of features that appeal to cooks on the go. This app is not only a guide on how to cook everything, but it takes care of all the nitty gritty along the way too

This app is optimized uniquely for both the iPad and the iPhone, making the most of the size, shape, and capabilities of each although some features are specific to the iPad only.

Mark Bittman’s no-nonsense cooking guidance with how-to illustrations and equipment, technique, and ingredient information makes creating his dishes easy to understand and carry out. The app includes meal-planning ideas so nothing is left to chance. The well-organized and email-friendly shopping lists that make it easy to buy ingredients—and whatever other groceries you need at home.

This app is easy-to-use and has flexible search capabilities, including special filters to browse recipes and reference information. Layouts are both for portrait and horizontal views, so the information and recipes are easy to follow—from any angle. The iPad has beautiful and inspiring photos of featured recipes and the ability to bookmark particular recipe steps and jump with ease among recipes.

Two of my favourite features included the ability to convert temperatures and quantities to metric and the handy built in timer, which is placed throughout the recipe steps. A constant-on button to prevent the screen from dimming while you cook (iPad only means there is no dirty food hands on your screen.
This app allows the ability to email up to 10 recipes a month to friends, plus the ability to print recipes or shopping lists or schedule the meals into a calendar.

Of course no fully rounded app would be complete with our social media integration.
The developers of this app have really thought of everything.

I am a major geek in disguise, and can discuss both the flaws in the latest Marvel comic movie conversion ( have they ever opened an Xmen comic..EVER) and the latest scandal in Hollywood. My passion for gadgets and devices comes from having a father who is equally enthralled with the latest tech and I have been following trends since screens were orange and all programs were opened with Dos prompts.
