Haunted places, there’s an app for that, really.
Ever watched the Sy Fy series Ghost Hunters. It must be really cool to be on the show and hold your own “ghost hunting investigation”. The equipment used in the show is really expensive and it would be next to impossible to have your own ghost hunt. If you do a little hunting of your own in the Blackberry app store you will find that you can get some great apps to help you in your own Ghost hunting exploits.
Haunted Sights by Haunted Sights, is by far the best in my opinion. This app gives you real haunted, paranormal and mysterious sites for ghost hunters. Whether you are a ghost hunting professional, avid fan, novice or just curious, you will not be disappointed. Haunted Sights is the most complete and comprehensive paranormal guide to a huge array of ghostly and mysterious sites, including hotels, bars, restaurants, cemeteries, historical places, parks and other spooky areas. Their app displays everything from GPS routings and locations to haunted ratings, websites and evidence links. And if you don’t have GPS on your phone it’s not a problem you can search with city or postal for the same results.
Once you search the area you are looking for, you will be given a list of the 20 closet area’s of interest. Utilizing the Google satellite maps, street view or Blackberry Maps you can find a plethora of haunted sites. Each site is listed with some description, and address and phone number, which you can automatically dial from inside the app. There is also a website listing and link so you can do a little more reading up on your chosen site. There is also the information you need about visiting the site ie if it is open to the public, if a fee is charged and if they offer ghost tours
Need a little bit more convincing? The app has links to evidence, in the form of video’s, photo’s and audio. You will also get a rating on the haunting level such as unknown, low, medium, high or hot.
So grab your rock salt and iron and enjoy the hunt
