South Africa is a map-based travel app, with travel articles and stunning photographs by go! magazine; restaurant reviews from South Africa’s biggest and most respected restaurant guide, Eat Out; and destination information from SA Venues, a comprehensive guide for travelers in South Africa. go! South Africa makes planning your South African holiday an easy and fun experience.

The app allows travelers to explore South Africa in considerable detail, providing an end to end integrated booking solution that enables travelers to plan and book their itinerary from accommodation and activities, right through to transport. The application boasts 25 000+ points of interest, including landmarks, nature reserves, restaurants, accommodation options ranging from campsites to hotels; hiking trails, wine estates, tourist information, shops, services and adventure activities.

The opening page presents you with two main option columns; one for the provinces and the other for the most popular tourist attractions in that province. Select your province and area you would like to explore. The next page will give you a run-through of the distinctive interactive map options available to you. The map has a variety of options, from viewing the weather to choosing different food venues. Food venues range from Fast Food to hip & happening locations. The application contains a wealth of information on accommodation, sightseeing and activity options.

What makes this application stand out from the rest are the easy drop and drag tools you can use to plan a trip. Choose the activity you want to plan from the top menu bar i.e. sightseeing. This will present you with a second toolbar to help you refine your search. Once you have made your selections the map will be populated with pins in the different areas where the selected activity is available. Each pin is a menu in itself providing you with the options to Add to Trip or to read more. To add the activity to your itinerary just drag and drop the pin down to the trip toolbar, and the route that you will have to travel will show on the map. You can even plan a trip to the bank, which you can find under the Services tab or make sure that you don’t miss out on a quaint farm stall (under the Shop tab). You can view the entire trip with the View Trip option.

This application is carefully thought out with an easy to use interactive interface that makes it essential for any traveler heading to South Africa.
