Here’s a great game for the holidays, I can play it for hours on my tablet. The concept of this game is simple; you have to find five differences between two pictures.
The pictures are PhotoShopped photo’s. They are complicated high-resolution pictures with lots of detail. When you spot a difference, you touch the screen on the difference, and a green circle appears. If you’re wrong, you lose time. There is a time limit, which is quite tight, so there is no time for day dreaming.
When you have found the five differences, you get a score, and then on to the next pair of images. You get three hints per game, which is not very generous, because some of the pictures are really difficult. This game can be played in Count Mode, meaning that it will continue until you run out of time (and hints) on an image, or Time Mode where you have 5 minutes to find as many differences as you can. You need quick observation skills to play this game.
The app includes quite a large library of images, although sometimes there was some repetition of images if I played for a long time. The images were of varying quality, some were too difficult to find the differences, and some were too easy (although the easy ones were most welcome to beat the stress of the hard ones). About half the images are of complicated food platters, which I liked, because they looked so yummy.
This game is ideal for a Tablet device. I think that playing on a smaller screen would be a frustrating experience. It is largish to download at 6.6M, so it is preferable to use your WiFi and not your airtime. The sound comprises only a variety of beeps, and is not interesting at all. This is, in my opinion, the weakest point of the app, I just turned off the annoying beeps.
This game is probably not for everyone. There is no option to set the difficulty of the game, maybe by making the time longer to find the differences, so some might find it too challenging.
Overall, this in an entertaining game, with lasting appeal. Even with some images repeating, I found it sufficiently challenging to hold my attention. This game will definitely be remaining on my tablet. Although this is a free game, I would be willing to pay for it, especially if the developers provided new image packs.
