Best music apps for your Android

Your life will be a permanent disco with these thumping apps.

If you’re someone who enjoys your tunes then you’ll be pleased to know that Android offers a host of apps that not only enhance your tunes, but can do much, much more. By exploring Google Play, you can find music entertainment at your fingertips.

If you’ve ever heard a song on the radio or at a club and don’t know the name of it, but are dying to hear it again then Shazam is the app for you. This is one of my favourite on the Android market, assisting in ensuring that I can always find a song again. Shazam, a free app from Top Developer and Shazam Entertainment Unlimited, will identify the name of the song and let you save it so that you can hear it again if you want. What’s convenient is that if you like the song that much, it will link you to Amazon MP3 so that you can buy it. This is one of the most easy and convenient apps to come out in the music world of Android.

doubleTwist Player by doubleTwist and Top Developer is also an inspiring music app, but for different reasons. This free app is designed to assist the Android user in downloading iTunes onto their Android smart phone or tablet so that they are never behind when it comes to the latest music. You can read all about how it works here, and is definitely worth it in terms of being able to sync your music and subscribe to podcasts.

If you’re someone who likes to make your own jingles or tunes, rather than just downloading them straight off of the net, then Ringtone Maker and xPiano are also apps that need to be downloaded onto your Android smart phone. Ringtone Maker, developed by Bing Bang INC. assists you in not only making your own alarms and ring tones, but also features Fade and volume adjusting. Easy to use, my favourite part of this app is that you can share your music and ring tone creations over email.

Another creative tool that you can use is xPiano, which is basically like having your own piano on your Android tablet or smart phone. Developed by cyandroid, it’s like having instruments at your fingertips whenever you need them. If you fancy yourself a bit of a composer or even just want to learn to play the piano, this app is like music to your ears.

Another one of my top apps that I’d recommend just about everyone who has an Android download is Digitally Imported Radio, developed by AudioAddict Inc. This is by far the funkiest music app, connecting you globally to some of the hottest electronic music through audio streaming. You can check out artists from around the world, shows as well as some of the best DJs. There are 37 Internet Radio Channels to choose from with music like House, Trance, Dance, Techno and Ambient, among many others.

There are many, many more music apps like on this on Google Play, these are just a few examples to wet your appetite and are some of the best on the market. Turn your Android smart phone or tablet into your very own music entertainment world.
